Expressing Your Idea
Your book, music album, or other media publication is a form of expression. Capturing what you can, and highlighting your ideas will help others understand what you are trying to express to them. This can be done with pictures, illustrations, words and different forms of text. How you integrate all of these elements together will tell a story in itself. They say don't judge a book by its cover, but if done correctly, you can capture the soul of the publication by doing exactly that.
Being Creative
Being creative means finding your own niche environment. Build something unique. Something that others have not seen before. Sometimes being creative means finding inspiration. Find the information can be done in many ways, and sometimes taking time to enjoy the simpler things in life may be your first step.
Create a Theme
Creating a theme will help your audience remember what your art style looks like. It will help them remember you, and also provide aesthetic value to their bookshelf, or wherever they are storing your book. Once you have created a theme, simple changes like color schemes, or pictures and backgrounds will make the series, or installments match.
Mixing Media
Depending on the theme of your book, or music album you may want to mix different elements to get a specific type of effect. When I produce artwork, and various corresponding effects, I only use original illustrations renderings and photographs. This makes all of your artwork authentic.
